A well-known local supplier purchased two warehouses adjacent to their existing site. Both buildings required structural upgrades to meet code and needed to be combined into a single site to maximise the space available. As part of the overall design, careful consideration was takes to reuse as much of the existing structure as possible to provide as cost-efficient solution as possible. Other opportunities identified such as salvaging the original roofing timber and consideration given to staging the works in such a way as to minimise the disruption to the neighbours and the businesses day to day operation.
