Alex Stopforth

Alex is an Architectural Graduate with a broad curiosity and in interest in how people think, especially the interaction between human nature and how we experience designed spaces. His Master’s thesis analysed the emotionally impactful yet highly minimalist atmosphere of Teshima Art Museum in Japan, through the deconstructivist philosophy of Gilles Deleuze, to attempt to discover key principles which can make architecture move us and apply those principles to new designs.

Alex is pleased to now be getting to grips with the practical realities of architecture, developing new skills, working on a range of project types, and learning about how we can build more sustainably and efficiently. Outside of architecture Alex is a keen reader, a lapsed photography enthusiast and occasionally brushes up his Japanese.
